Week 5 - CMCO, again?

As the time flies, it’s already Week 5 of my practicum. On Monday, 12th of October 2020, I went to school a bit late. However, I still managed to arrive at school on time because it only took me 3 minutes to walk to school. I entered my class at 11:20A.M. as usual. On that day, my 4 Gemilang pupils learned about dinosaurs. I played an audio about dinosaurs and asked them to read a text about dinosaurs from the textbook. Then, they were asked to answer comprehension questions to test their understanding.

On the next day, Tuesday, 13th of October 2020, it was the last day before the school closed due to the Conditional Movement Control Order in Selangor. I was a bit sad because I could not see the kids for the last time before the school closed. My day was packed with classes to relief. I barely got time to relax and chill. I enjoyed myself. On that day, I taught English to 4 Bestari, tasmik 4 Elit’s quran and muqadam recitation, and many more. I also helped my colleagues in Bilik Rawatan to clear things up before the school closed. We threw some unwanted things to make sure that the room will be neat and tidy when the school reopens.

On Wednesday, 14th of October 2020, it was the first day of Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO). I decided to give the pupils a simple revision from the textbook. I asked them to copy the questions from their textbook and answer it in their exercise book. Luckily, the pupils gave full cooperation even though some of them went missing in action. I recorded those who submitted their works and those who did not. It was just a simple revision to refresh their understanding about the topic.

On Thursday, 15th of October 2020, I wanted something that is out from the kids’ comfort zone. I assigned them with a task. They had to record themselves, talk in English. Specifically, they had to introduce themselves, using the vocabularies that they had learned in Module 1. By using this method, I got to know how they applied the words in their daily lives and conversation. Some of them have the effort

On Friday, 16th of October 2020, my mentor prepared a Google Form. It was kind of revision for the whole Module 1. She was very kind to prepare the Google Form for me. It was actually my work to provide the kids with tasks and works.
