Hello, everyone! I will be sharing my practicum journey here. Before that, I would like to introduce myself, my course, my college, and also my school! Enjoy reading! x
My
name is Nur Safiatul Na’imah binti Subirin and I am 20 years old this year. I
am born in Selangor and currently live in Kajang, Selangor. Growing up with a science
officer and a businessman, made me thinking that I would probably ended up
being a doctor, scientist, or anything related to science. Being an English
Language teacher was not even in my dream list. However, I ended up taking
Teaching English as A Second Language for my diploma. It was not about having
no choice, I just did not know what course I should roll in so I ended up
taking TESL because it seemed easy. Well yeah.. it only seemed easy at first. I
decided not to proceed with something related to science because science is not
my passion. I knew for a fact that I am not going to succeed in that field.
I
am currently taking Diploma in Teaching English as A Second Language (TESL) in
Kolej Poly-Tech MARA, Kuala Lumpur. Since it is a private college, people are
not familiar with it. KUPTM is actually one of the higher education institution
under Majlis Amanah Rakyat Malaysia (MARA).
I have
to go for 7 semesters to get my diploma and teaching practice is in my 7th
semester. I listed down 3 school for my teaching practice which were Sekolah
Kebangsaan Kajang Utama, Sekolah Kebangsaan Jalan Empat and Sekolah Kebangsaan
Seksyen 7, Bandar Baru Bangi. I was beyond thankful when I knew that I got
Sekolah Kebangsaan Kajang Utama. It was actually my primary school back then and
it actually took me only 3 minutes to go to school. The best part is I got to meet
my former teachers! I am beyond happy and thankful.
